Following the announcement by Jaume Cladera that he is stepping down as president of Real Mallorca, a meeting this afternoon should decide the future direction of the club, German Utz Claassen holding all the aces in choosing which way to go. There is speculation, despite Claassen's well-publicised disagreements with major shareholder Llorenç Serra Ferrer, that the German could support him.
Update: The meeting failed to arrive at an agreement, but a new member of the board to replace Cladera should be decided on Monday next week, and the election of a new president should take place on 29 January.
