The annual competition of the plastic arts, staged since 1962 in Pollensa, is not to be held this year, funds being devoted instead to restoration work on the Pollensa museum.
(Comment - This is a perhaps strange decision by the town hall. The art competition that has run in the summer would seem to be a natural part of what is being proposed for the revamped Pollensa Music Festival this year which is meant to be broadening its scope to include other aspects of the arts.)
