The Balearic Government, reforming teaching languages in the islands' infant and primary and secondary schools, has announced that the process enabling parental choice of the preferred language of teaching - Catalan or Castellano - will start on 2 May. The government had previously suggested that secondary schools (or at least ESO education, meaning obligatory secondary education to the age of 16) would not be included, but now is.
