Utz Claassen, the German shareholder in Real Mallorca, who is seeking redress for what he claims was an overpayment for shares, the result of his having been misled by club representatives, is alleging that former Aston Villa chairman Doug Ellis was almost a victim of a similar attempt by club officials to pay more than was necessary for buying into the club. Club officials have denied any attempts at deception in the sale of shares.
