As part of the awarding of world heritage status to the Tramuntana mountain region, Pollensa, at the northern end of the range, is to receive 286,000 euros from central government to undertake improvements to the Calvari steps, square and gardens and to the arches in the cloister of Sant Domingo. The bulk of the money (245,000) will go to the Calvari project.
