A cloudy start. Local temperatures at 08.00 ranging from 16 to 18 degrees. The day's forecast suggests cloud mixed with sunny spells, with a slight possibility of rain this afternoon. The weekend would seem to be generally fine as will be next week, with temperatures rising to 27 degrees.
So much for these forecasts then. A storm brew up in the afternoon but proved how erratic the local weather can be. The thunder and lightning was across the mountains but missed pretty much everywhere. Barely any rain in Pollensa or Playa de Muro, but a downpour on the road between Alcúdia and Puerto Pollensa. Very odd. A local high today of 24.2 in Alcúdia. If you can trust what the met centre says, the weekend is meant to see clear skies, though it also says there could be light showers in the Balearics. Anything, in other words.
