MALLORCA TODAY - Taxi-drivers in Alcúdia protest against tourist mini-train

The tourist mini-train (two of them in fact) having re-appeared on the streets of Puerto Alcúdia to general approval, the taxi-drivers of Alcúdia are voicing their disapproval. They claim that the trains have already caused a 40% loss of business in the area and that the trains do not meet standards of safety. It might be noted that it was primarily objections from taxi-drivers that led to the mini-train service being scrapped thirteen years ago
