MALLORCA TODAY - Weather Alcúdia and Pollensa 8 August 2013

No Frills Excursions

Morning high (7.45am): 23.5C
Forecast high: 30C
Sea conditions (northern Mallorca; Alcúdia and Pollensa bays): North and Northeast 4 to 5 and 6 at intervals this morning. Risk of showers and storms.

A lot of cloud around, and there is the chance of rain and a storm, as forecast by the met office, but the satellite shows the worst of weather from the west having tracked slightly north of the islands, so although there may be some rain, it may only be light.

Evening update (19.00): The rain that had been forecast did arrive but only in parts of the area. While Pollensa town had over 20mm of rain, along the bay of Alcúdia away from Alcúdia itself, there wasn't any rain. A high of 28.9C inland and a degree lower on the coast where the temperature dipped to 23C at one point.
