A later report, owing to an internet outage. Quite sunny but not particularly warm. Temperatures will be rising later in the week along with strengthening southerlies and westerlies.
Afternoon update (17.45): Spots of rain in parts, a bit heavier elsewhere, the sun gave way to cloud and variable temperatures, coastal highs only just over 12 degrees, but inland up to 14.8C.
