MALLORCA TODAY - Balearic parliament speaker resigns because of corruption case

Pere Rotger (Partido Popular), the speaker of the Balearic parliament, has today resigned following the refusal of the judge, José Castro, to remove the indictment against him in respect of alleged corruption stemming from the so-called "caso Over" which has to do with the irregular financing of the PP during the 2003-2007 government of Jaume Matas.
