MALLORCA TODAY - Higher taxes paid in tourist towns

According to information from the finance ministry, residents of tourist towns on the coast of Mallorca pay far higher taxes than those inland. Alcúdia ranks fifth of towns (Palma is excluded from the list) with a burden per resident of 1,180 euros. This is some way short of Deià which heads the list at 1,845 euros. Muro is eighth with 1,034 euros.
