MALLORCA TODAY - New Spanish motorway speed limit to last four months

The Spanish Government has today announced a series of measures designed to save energy. One of these, previously announced, is the lowering of the motorway speed limit to 110 kph, which comes into force on Monday, 7 March. The new speed limit will be in force for at least four months, and in addition to this, there are to be incentives for drivers to invest in more efficient tyres and projects to promote public transport and bicycle use.
