MALLORCA TODAY - Coach drivers' strike will be 21 and 22 July

Negotiations having broken down, the strike of coach drivers in the Balearics is set to take place on 21 and 22 July. This will affect transfer buses to and from the airport and excursion coaches.

This seems to be the only source for up-to-date information on this subject that I can easily find (so thanks). Other sources have been reporting that the strike will start on the 20th. Can you confirm the current date is the 21st and not the 20th?

Hello, the coach drivers' strike was originally going to be on 20 July to coincide with that of the hostelry workers, but the unions have definitely announced their intention to strike on 21 and 22 July and not 20 July. Hope this clears things up, and hope that it doesn't happen

Hi Andrew thank you for keeping us updated on coach drivers strike etc..
i'll be in Alcudia next week due to fly back on the 22nd
contacted my tour Thomas Cook ..
and they claimed to no nothing about it...me thinks they lie !!

If they genuinely don't know, then they're not doing their jobs. Being economic with truth more like. I've posted a note about what the Supreme Court has to say, which is that it will want 80% of coach services to be operating. If this turns out to be the case (and indeed that the strike even goes ahead), then things might not be as bad as would otherwise be. Hoping so, anyway. Keep in touch while in Alcudia. If there any major probs for you, see what can be done to help out.
