The Pollensa Music Festival is now simply the Pollensa Festival. In its 51st year, the festival has changed significantly, partly brought about for financial reasons, partly in order to broaden its scope. The headline music performer will be Michael Nyman, famous for his film scores, and music in the cinema is an aspect of the festival which will also feature Oscar winner Ludovic Bource. There will also be an exhibition of plastic-art sculpture lasting for much of the festival, which starts on 6 July and continues until 25 August, as well as a course on the crime novel.
