MALLORCA TODAY - Fines for speeding in Spain

With the introduction from tomorrow (7 March) of the new motorway speed limit, penalties for speeding have been adjusted. For driving between 111 and 140 kph, there will be a fine of 100 euros. Between 141 and 160 kph, the fine rises to 300 euros plus, if the speed is more than 151 kph, a loss of two points on the driving licence. The fines increase to 600 euros for going over 191 kph. But such excessive speeds can also attract potentially more serious sanctions.
