MALLORCA TODAY - Alcúdia drops Unió Mallorquina name

Council leaders in Alcúdia, including the mayor, Miguel Llompart, have become the first councillors in Mallorca to abandon the Unió Mallorquina name in favour of the new one, Convergència per les Illes. The new party itself has announced that it will, in abbreviated form, be known as CxI.
