MALLORCA TODAY - Further revision to Balearics' growth forecast

Finance minister Carles Manera, responding to last week's independent forecast of lower economic growth in the Balearics this year than that of Manera's regional government, has today increased the government's forecast to as high as 1.3%. The cause for much of this optimism lies with the positive predictions for this summer's tourism as well as with the fact, as pointed out on this blog last week, that the Balearics were unique in being the only region of Spain to show a fall in unemployment in February.
