MALLORCA TODAY - Pollensa auditorium to be dropped

Pollensa town hall is expected to officially announce today that the agreement to build an auditorium is to be waived. The proposal for the auditorium would have cost some ten million euros. In May, the tourism ministry said it would not be making available a grant of five million euros. In addition, a grant of 4.5 million euros from the department of the presidency was dependent on the town hall foregoing an annual fund from the regional government, one that the town hall would now prefer to receive.
