MALLORCA TODAY - Norman Foster snubbed at Pollensa Festival

Sir Norman Foster, the British architect, after whom a new symphony to launch this year's Pollensa Festival was named, was not greeted by any members of the regional government when he appeared to hear the symphony at Pollensa's Sant Domingo yesterday. And as for the performance itself, well, if the video is anything to go by, it wasn't exactly packed. Maybe it's just because the expensive seats are at the front or maybe the festival is, after all, an exercise in elitism that has less than broad appeal: http://ultimahora.es/mallorca/video/sinfonia-foster-festival-pollen-a.html
