MALLORCA TODAY - Now the taxi drivers plan to strike

Coming on top of the potential disruption in the transport sector because of strikes there is now the possibility that on 1 August taxis might be thin on the ground. The national transport committee's taxi section has called for the 24-hour strike - across Spain and therefore including Mallorca - in protest at planned deregulation of the sector.
