Carme Garcia, the former PSM (Majorcan socialist) member who became independent and sided with the Partido Popular at Alcúdia town hall has joined with the opposition PSOE and CxI to force the administration to permit the hanging of a Catalan bow outside the town hall as an expression of defence of the Catalan language. The PP had rejected the move, the mayor saying that the town hall building is a "house for everyone".
