The Partido Popular-led administration at Sa Pobla town hall has refused to support a motion brought by the PSM Mallorcan socialists to seek clarification from the regional government regarding the continuing operation of the Inca to Sa Pobla rail line. The PSM has been accused of fuelling rumours about the possible closure of the line, when nothing has actually been said about this closure.

MALLORCA TODAY - Opposition concerns over Sa Pobla rail line
The rumours regarding the possible closure of the rail line from Inca to Sa Pobla have provoked opposition parties into expressing their concerns at the possibility and at the deterioration in service on the line. Rather than closure, these parties have called for the possible extension to Alcúdia to be reconsidered.
