Substitute striker Gerard Moreno saved Mallorca from a home defeat against Cordoba, scoring twice in the second half to secure for Mallorca what in the end was a well-deserved draw after Cordoba had gone two up through Xisco after 14 minutes and Pedro eight minutes into the second half. It was well-deserved because of the comeback, but Mallorca had goalkeeper Miño to thank for keeping them in the game with two first-half saves, Cordoba generally having been on top until Moreno's introduction turned things round. A draw against a side similarly placed in the Liga Adelante to Mallorca (just below the play-off positions) may not have been too bad, but Mallorca need to start winning these matches not drawing them.
