Clear skies and windy, and it has been very windy overnight with wind speeds up to almost 80kph at times. Sun for most of today but the wind will remain a factor with an alert still in place for rough coastal conditions. The outlook for later in the week is, in a word, yuck. Rain and getting quite chilly.
Evening update (17.45): Not a bad day. Nice and sunny but still quite breezy. A high of 20.7C. The change in weather, due from Thursday, may bring snow down to a level of 800 metres.
