MALLORCA TODAY - Balearics economic recovery stalls
According to the centre for economic investigation, growth in the Balearics economy has hit something of an obstruction, there having been a cooling in the final quarter of 2010. The centre is placing growth in the Balearics at 0.5% this year, lower than the 0.6 or 0.7% that the regional government finance minister had suggested last week. However, the improvement in unemployment figures for February, the Balearics being the only region of Spain to have experienced a fall, suggests that there may be more positive signs of slow recovery.
