Numancia 1 : 1 Real Mallorca
Increasingly desperate times for Mallorca, relegation a prospect and indeed the club's whole future in doubt. Away in Castile and Leon at Numancia, a lowly placed side (the same as Mallorca therefore), there was just a chance of some relief, and a header by Alfaro on twenty minutes suggested that there would be. Numancia, though, were not lying down. The woodwork was struck twice before Regalón equalised with a header. A point for Mallorca, which was about the limit of the team's ambitions. Possession stats reveal much: Numancia 72%, Mallorca 28%. Corners stats, too: 15 for Numancia versus one for Mallorca. At least the defence played well.
