MALLORCA TODAY - Pollensa lamb faces losing quality certification
Because of a regulatory change by national government, lamb produced in Pollensa, the only place in Mallorca currently to have a quality certification for its lamb, could lose this certification. The change means that certification can only apply to a minimum of 15,000 sheep, and the most that Pollensa could produce annually would be 9,000.

MALLORCA TODAY - Town hall blunder affects Pollensa farmers' co-operative
Because Pollensa town hall dealt with the ministry of agriculture rather than the Council of Mallorca, which apparently it should have, a grant to build a processing centre for lamb raised by the local farmers' co-operative looks like not being forthcoming and will set back construction by at least six months.
