A grey and dismal morning with alerts in place for wind and poor coastal conditions. Improving from midday and giving what should be a fine weekend. General outlook is good.
Evening update (19.45): Once the morning's wind and rain had gone (and there was a good deal of both), things turned out nice. A high of 20.5C. All is looking favourable for the next few days.
