It is meant to be a better day today, though there's not too much sign of any sun. The wind continues to blow quite strongly and the high is just 8 degrees at 09:00.
Snow in parts of the island has meant that schools have been affected because of transport problems, while the snow also threatens the almond blossom; there is a risk that trees will not flower.
Afternoon update: The sun did appear, but the day remained distinctly chilly with a high of just above ten degrees.
