A sunny enough morning despite some banks of cloud. The wind is no more than a lightish breeze but is set to pick up again with tomorrow's advice for coastal areas going back up to amber. A high of 9.2 at 09:00. Wednesday looks particularly ugly in terms of rain and snow to 100 metres.
Afternoon update: A warmer day certainly, a reasonable amount of sun and a high of 11.3C. The met office is warning of a new cold front coming in from tomorrow evening that will continue into Wednesday. It will not be as intense as the front which left much of the island (but not the north) under a good couple of inches of snow, but there is likely to be more snow at sea level. Thursday and Friday, though, will be warmer.
