MALLORCA TODAY - Motorway speed limit back up to 120

The Spanish Government has announced that from 1 July the speed limit on motorways will revert to 120 kph, the level from which it was reduced to 110 as a cost-saving measure.

MALLORCA TODAY - Petrol consumption falls

According to the ministry of industry, tourism and commerce, consumption of petrol, since the introduction of the motorway speed reduction, has led to a 7.9% cut. Such a decline was what had been hoped through the imposition of the new limit.
