MALLORCA TODAY - Corpus Christi in Pollensa
Pollensa town takes the celebration of Corpus Christi more seriously than many other towns in Mallorca and tomorrow there will be the traditional dance and procession by Sant Joan (Saint John) and his two female eagle assistants. The girls' dresses are threaded with jewels and gold, and the costumes are that valuable that they are kept in a safe at the town's Colonya bank.
