"The Diario" has consulted head chefs at five restaurants, not exactly known for being at the economy end of the food chain, as to their favoured dishes at lunchtime. So, for those of you really interested, get your Google Translate out to discover the best of Mallorcan lunch cuisine and what to drink; the chefs suggest local whites, rosés or sparkling wines, which won't exactly come as a surprise, though given that any alcohol contributes to dehydration on a hot day, then maybe the wines should be avoided.
