The ongoing excavations at the Pollentia Roman town in Alcúdia will focus for the next month on the forum and on dating more precisely the creation of Byzantine walls. The excavations are as much a victim of reduced resources as many other things in Mallorca, but the next month's activities are intended to make swifter progress than normal. Those in charge of the excavations are still hopeful of assistance from workers supplied through the unemployment office and subsidised by the Council of Mallorca.
