Following a meeting this afternoon and evening with the regional president, the coach drivers strike has been called off. The strike, which started at midnight today, has caused considerable disruption, with some tourists missing flights as a consequence of there not being transfer buses available. There has also been some trouble, with pickets being arrested and one tourist injured when a stone was thrown at a coach.
